An active Thursday in Albany
May.27, 2010 in
Albany, NY, Forecasts
Conditions are quiet this morning in the greater Capital region, but that looks to change this afternoon. A back door cold front will continue to shift south through the region from the northeast today. This cool, dry air mass will clash with the warm and humid air mass already in place resulting in some severe weather this afternoon into this evening.
The Capital region, Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, eastern Catskills, and mid Hudson Valley will be the best locations to see any severe weather. These storms will be capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH, damaging winds, and heavy rain.
