Now that I have a new laptop, I can finally get around to updating this site on a regular basis again.

Well, the warm temperatures and rain that we’ve experienced the past few days has come to an abrupt halt as a cold front has dropped down over the area. This will bring a few scattered snow showers over the next few days. Though fairly persistent, it will be very light, and over the course of today and tonight it will not amount to much more than a couple of inches. I was more optimistic about the possibility of lake effect, but the atmosphere appears not to be as cold as I thought, and such a band would likely be much weaker than I had originally anticipated. When another cold front swings through on Thursday, this will give the opportunity for more lake effect, since the air will be below-average temperature and winds will remain well-oriented enough to produce a band.

Viewers in Pennsylvania will have mostly cloudy skies throughout.
