Twin Tiers Weekend Outlook: 12/4 to 12/6
Friday
While a lake effect snow band is bearing down on the Niagara region, we’re cloudy and dry here in the Twin Tiers. The wind is expected to stay in a WSW direction, meaning it will not affect us. 925-mb temps are right around 0 C, indicating a maximum temperature of about 8 C, but there will likely be significant cloud cover preventing us from reaching at high.
Cloudy skies today, with a high in the upper 30s. Low temperatures tonight around 30.
Saturday
Significantly cooler air will push in from the west late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Continued clouds, significantly colder. Highs in the low 30s. Lows Saturday night will reach all the way down into the low 20s. Saturday night will be our (Cattaraugus and SE Chautauqua Counties’) greatest chance of lake effect snow.
Sunday
Any lake effect dissipates by Sunday morning. Cloudy skies, with temperatures again in the lower 30s.
