Typical Rochester weather will be the story for the next several days from a cold rain on Thursday, to wet snow Thursday night, to flurries on Friday, to temperatures back into the 60s by as early as Sunday.

The upper level pattern will be flopping up and down over the next week or so from a trough currently in the east on Thursday, to a ridge by the beginning of next week, and then back down again next week. This weather will feature a little bit of everything, along with a fair amount of sunny days after Friday.

We are still looking for the first accumulationing snow of the season in Monroe County. Seems like we should have been buried under a foot or two of snow by now after this past “summer”, but ironically, I think November will be slightly above normal in temperatures. With that said, it’s going to be at least another week until any chance at accumulating snows. Any snow we may see Thursday night and Friday will be wet snow melting as soon as it hits the ground.
