For the next several days, temperatures will be, for the most part, 5 to 10 degrees above our average high temperature of 51-52 degrees.

Today, we luck out. Our weather is pinned in a dry air belt between a low-pressure system in Delmarva and some less organized stuff to our north. Today’s high temperature will reach the upper 50s.

The low pressure system in Delmarva right now is expected to move northward and bring with it some significant precipitation beginning in the Tuesday-Wednesday overnight. Rain will move in from south to north, with low temperatures bottoming out only in the mid-40s with all the moisture.

Rain is expected to continue into Wednesday before clearing out Wednesday night. Wednesday afternoon’s high should be cooler, in the mid-50s, with another night of mid-40s for lows following on Wednesday night, though likely drier.

Thursday and Friday appear to be  picture-perfect days, with temperatures spiking up into the mid-60s both days. A cold front is expected to follow that on Friday night, though Saturday should be dry for Halloween trick-or-treating. However, that is still several days in advance, so be aware… it’s subject to change. More in the Weekend Outlook later in the week.
