Rochester NY — October 11th — Frost Advisory Tonight
A strong area of high pressure is back in control of our weather through most of this week after a fairy extended period of unsettled weather. We’ll be seeing plenty of dry time this week along with well below normal temperatures and a few wet snow flakes towards the end of the week.
Today looks like a great day for any outdoor plans you may have lined up for today, but bring a light jacket because it will be unseasonably cool. We’ll have mostly sunny skies with temperatures only in the mid to upper 40s.
Clear skies, light winds, and a low dew point out there will set the stage for a cold night tonight. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has hoisted frost advisories for counties along the lake shore From Niagara County to Wayne County including Monroe. Further inland, they have freeze warnings up there. Here in Monroe County, we can expect temperatures to dip down into the low 30s tonight, upper 20s away from the lake. If you have any sensitive vegetation outdoors, it’s advised you either bring those plants indoors or cover them up.
