Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico has invaded the north east courtesy of a clockwise flow around a high pressure off the Massachusetts coast. This will keep temperatures up along with the threat of showers off and on this week.

The first wave of showers is currently moving through the area at 8:30pm on Monday. This will depart the area by 10pm. There will be a lull in activity until late morning Tuesday when a few more showers and maybe a rumble of thunder will threaten the area.

It will remain mild Monday night into Tuesday. Temperatures will only drop down into the low to mid 60s. Showers will come to a end by late evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies otherwise.

As I said above, there will be a risk for showers beginning late morning on Tuesday. Won’t be anything heavy, but a few light rain showers will pass through. Another mild day for the first day of Autumn as we’ll see highs in the mid 70s.
