Today was definitely the better day of the weekend as the capital region saw highs in the upper 70s with a good deal of sunshine. Unlike yesterday where we got rained on and only had a high of 65. 65!!! Ya kiddin’ me?!?!

We are in store for a great looking week here in Albany! Abundant sunshine, but highs will be a tad on the low side to start the week. An upper level trough will move over New England Monday into Monday night. This will usher in cooler temperatures from the north and make it feel unseasonably crisp outside. Though we will be approaching the first day of September, our normal highs are near 77 degrees. Monday will struggle to hit 70.

As a dome of high pressure parks over us, we will definitley experience a lot of dry time this week. High temps will gradually increase as we begin September. Another important factor is that dewpoints will be very low. As colder and drier air moves in from the northwest, it will really feel like an autumn day tomorrow. As we warm over the week, dewpoints will gradually increase making it feel a little more like summer as Labor Day weekend nears.
