Rochester 8/27
The next 5-7 days will be more characteristic of early autumn than late August. We’re in store for some cool nights and mild afternoons with a not-so-great weekend yet again coming up.
A cold front, which was responsible for the passing showers earlier, is well to our south now as high pressure builds from Ontario. Drier and cooler air has worked across the area leaving skies mostly clear. Clear skies, light winds, and falling dew points will allow temperatures to fall into the low 50s for most areas, but upper 40s for locations well inland. Some areas east of Lake Ontario in the Adirondack region will flirt with the FREEZING mark tonight… brrrrrr. The only thing to keep an eye out for around our neck of the woods is the possibility of fog developing early Thursday morning, mainly south of Rochester though.
The day on Thursday doesn’t look too bad — albeit unseasonably cool. We’ll have plenty of sunshine around, but temperatures will spend most of the day in the 60s. We’ll hit 70° in Monroe County, but only for a short while. Elsewhere, upper 60s is the best we’ll do on Thursday.
