After a few thunderstorms rumbled through the region last night around 3AM dropping .06 of an inch, skies turned quiet. Well that will change today as a cold front arrives from the west. With the front, dewpoints near 70 degrees, and a high temperature in the low 80s, expect to see scattered showers and a few thunderstorms today. Some could become severe this afternoon resulting in heavy downpours and strong, gusty winds.

The wet and humid weather sticks around for this coming weekend as well. A few isolated storms will be in the forecast for Saturday with the better chance to see some more widespread rain on Sunday. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s for Saturday with dewpoints averaging around 66 degrees. Sunday will be a little cooler with highs in low to mid 70s with dewpoints easing off even more to the low 60s.

We will finally get a break from the rain and humidity Monday and Tuesday before our next storm system arrives for Wednesday.
