Today may just be the last day for quite some time that we will see a threat for showers and thunderstorms in the ‘Cuse.

A low pressure system to our south will cause a few showers and storms to pop today but many areas will remain dry. Just be sure to toss the umbrella in the car this morning just in case. It looks like the bulk of the precip that will fall today will be south of the thruway but I can’t rule out a shower or two for the greater Syracuse area. High pressure is building in from the west and starting tomorrow, we will be enjoying a warm and dry streak that will really be welcomed. A southerly wind will bring heat and moisture up from the south so high temperatures will be in the upper 80s and it will be a little on the muggy side as well.

Thanks to this ridging pattern, it will really feel like summer! So get outside and enjoy it because you never know what mother nature has planned for central new York.
