Welcome to WeatherBlogging.com
Hello and welcome to the internet’s newest weather and forecasting website — WeatherBlogging.com. Today we officially launched this website after weeks of planning, designing, scripting, and installing software.
There are a few reasons this site was created. The current economic woes have put a damper on active job searchers much like myself as professional jobs seems to be few and far between, especially for entry level positions. In a effort to keep my forecasting skills fined tuned and because I have a side hobby of building websites, I figured creating as weather related website would be in my best interest as I seek professional employment.
Another reason for the development is this site to to eliminate “bad forecasts”, which I have a strong dislike for. I classify a “bad forecast” as a forecast along these lines… “Today, party sunny with a 60% chance of rain”. Huh? That is sure is really descriptive and provides a lot of usable information for the general public… Note any sarcasm. I will further rant about this in my first actual post in the very near future and how a weather blog like this can help forecasters and the common person alike.
The final main reason why I launched a weather blogging website was to also help out my fellow friends and upcoming meteorologists. I will be creating sub-blogs for the same purpose, as I outlined above for others to forecast and discuss weather publicly. This is also a way for them and myself to gain real life experience in the field of meteorology.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for much more coming soon!
